Hello everyone.. Its nearly a month since my last post.. Life is so far so good.. Getting hammered with some exams, and some are coming ahead.. So busy with its preparation. Apart from that nothing interesting going on..
Last week, i had to go with the AIIMS entrance examination, and there were so many repeats which i didn't know.. Did silly mistakes as usual. This week, PGI chandigarh exam is there. Lets see how it goes. Choosing one option among the MCQs is difficult. This exam will have multiple answers. So i will leave it to fate this week.
Saw some movies, out of which engeyum kadhal is the worst with story line. Ofcourse, there is no story in that.. Kullanari kootam, muthuku muthaga were better. Seedan, a dhanush starrer which i watched for last ten minutes, was horrible. In this, Dhanush in and as Lord Muruga. I don't know whether Lord Muruga saw this movie. If so, he would be admitted in an hospital mostly.
This month saw the change of power from DMK to ADMK, which people were longing for the past 5 years. So much hike in normal prices, and no safety, this period was one to worry about.. Hope Amma does something good for the people of Tamilnadu.
Now for some Facebook spams.. I am gonna tell from my point of view how to avoid it. I am not a user who knows to write programs, or hack something. I am just a day to day user, so i will let u know from my point of view. Recently, there was a scam stating that you are tagged in this video. Moreover, that scam came as youtube link. Let me tell you something first. Any video in FB will play then and there and wont take you to a new page. Many didn't think about it, and pressed some sequence of commands. Don't know what happened to them, but i will say don't use internet banking if you don't know clearly about your security.
There are so many spams, like how many viewed your Facebook profile, that too especially my X viewed it so many times.. Simply that was ridiculous. Moreover, if someone sends you a private message, stating you are stupid and you gotta see it, that too from a person you are not in constant contact; then don't even consider it. Even they don't know that something was sent to your profile from theirs. So don't worry whether they have told something like this, because they are also victims of these scams.
If you are not sure of how to protect yourself, then take these tips. Use Firefox, use web of trust add-on, then make yourself comfortable with No script of Adblock plus and use it. Also, don't even allow access to any application unless you are sure with it. If the Facebook page takes you to authorization, i.e. your basic information, and asks allow or not allow, simply press Don't Allow. Because half of your privacy is stolen by means of this. If you are taken to that page, then consider it not once or twice, but thrice. And remove your unwanted applications from your Privacy--Application settings. Also Use a trustworthy antivirus ( internet security) software like Kaspersky or ESET.
Finally, a word of caution. Using internet banking is easy, but protecting your banking is going to be difficult, especially when facebook is torturing with these scams. So please protect yourself from Facebook and these scams. It won't hurt to use separate browsers for your banking and facebook, ( ofcourse, if its in your machine, you can't help it ), but this is safe if you are a novice. Better learn about some security details, computers are easy, but never get addicted to it like i am right now. See you soon.
