Sugar Sync

         The topic is somewhat weird but not the app.. Its an android app, actually it is available for all operating systems.. Its a online cloud storage application. But whats the specialty, when so many are available?? I personally have used adrive, which gives huge storage online. But sugar sync is different. Similarity is, it is an online storage service. But the difference is, it syncs many devices. I dont know about other applications, but this is very good. Create an account in www.sugarsync.com. Then, download and install the software in your computer. Similarly, search for application in android market, install. Thats it. Sync. And you can sync your photos, documents etc through internet from phone to computer and any other device you use. Used it. It rocks!! Give a try if you want.

         I can definitely start a consultation service for mobiles and laptops. I can earn more than what i can earn from my profession. :-)

        Nanban, heard its good. First i will read the book, then will see it. That makes 3 months to see that movie. :-) I know what you are thinking, even i cant wait 3 months!!

        Tomorrow, I am very busy with the television especially when SMS are charged one rupee.  Vel, Maapillai, Ko, Muran and the blockbuster Endhiran.. Pongalo pongal.

        The biggest surprise for me today was that, there was no traffic near Loyola college at 7pm. Usually the vehicles have to be in first gear, and with so much pollution, it takes 30 to 45 minutes to cross from sterling road to the choolaimedu signal. I was so happy that I could cross it in fifteen minutes.

        And Finally, India are going to lose again in Perth. Wonderful display of batting and bowling ( Ofcourse its done by Aussies).. I dont get one thing. Why does the pitch behave as bowling when we bat, and why as batting when they bat??? Any explanations?

Post exam

    Hi there.. Finally after all india exam.. Its been quite sometime since my last blog post.. Life is so good without computers, seriously. Especially without facebook. For 2 months, no facebook, and it seemed well.. Now back again, with less addiction to facebook. Hope that stays like that.
    Asking about exam? Nothing to say. This is the first time where the number of repeats appeared very less. Repeats and repeat related. And everything is new. New in the sense, not even able to think concepts. This is the first time where Ophthalmology was concept based in all india. But the downside, the questions were too big which ate time. Yesterday's paper was a shocker for everyone. If thats the case, then here, Times Now saying that the paper got leaked yesterday. Dont know what they are going to do. Whatever, i dont want to write another all india exam.
     Movies.. None of the movies were good after 7am arivu, which i know many wouldnt like it. I dont mind that.. But the rest of the new releases, were horrible.
     Android seriously rocks. With all the cool interface based things, and the ease of functionality.. everything rocks.. Many would say battery wont last.. But there are apps which if you know how to use, can make your battery last for a day with bluetooth headset itself. but too much calls, you gotta charge again.
     Here are some apps.. The first one is Advanced Task Killer, known popularly as ATK. You install it. Then go to settings, and leave some apps which you want to run always to sync. Say Gmail.. Antivirus.. And these keeps running in the ignore list. Then set the settings to Aggressive, because some apps will appear green and those needs aggressive to close them. I haven't tried crazy yet. And dont forget to auto boot that app after restart.
     The second one is 2x battery. I know many would be using Juice defender, but i will go for 2x battery. The settings that will save you battery is minimum amount of data usage. Android consumes too much data, so you need to put a good data plan.. 100mb with 3G wont be enough at all unless you go for wifi. Wifi will consume your battery a lot. 2x battery mainly works by scheduled sync of your mobile network. 15 min in free version, and lot of time options in pro version..The attractive thing is pro version is cheap.. 1 hour sync with half hour ATK killing of apps will make your battery last a day for sure. Increasing the sync time will increase your battery but i would say its not possible because you constantly turn on your phone for calls or sms. More over, set the settings of 2x battery to turn on network with a time delay. Otherwise every now and then you unlock it, network will be on and there is no use of using apps like these. When you need network, tap the block button which will be visible like a street symbol. 2x battery really rocks.
      Third  is AVG mobilation. Awesome app. simply install and put it in the ignore list of ATK. And it takes care of the rest. There is option in settings like ATK. But i dont know whether there is ignore list like ATK has. its your own decision to use those settings or not. Avg scans everytime you change wallpaper to themes and installing new apps.
       Twitter app rocks. Even better than the HTC sense Peep. Install it and enjoy. Also you can directly tweet by taking photo and upload. It rocks.
       Coming to office suite. The problem is with Quick office or Documents to go. Google docs as i read, is not that good. If you want me to pick between those two, i will go for Docs to Go Free version because Quick office constantly hanged when i was using the free version. Docs to go was very good. But free version means only readable. If you want to create or edit, you need pro license.. Quick office gave an offer for Christmas which was good.. Just subscribe to news letters and you can see when the offers are on.. Quick office pro is awesome.. If you will use pro version, both supports pdf as a readable mode. So no use of Adobe reader. Its your choice whether to go for free or pro version.
        An important app you will need is Save my Attach. It is necessary for you to download attachments from email. Only photos can be downloaded without this app. Documents can be previewed. But this app rectifies this flaw. I dont know why android has made like that.
         Another is APP2SD free one. It moves apps and frees your internal memory. And pops up when the app can be moved while you install. Remember, Android apps mostly work on internal memory. Some work from Memory card which is a big drawback. So free up your temp files often by cleaning them manually.
         These apps are essential. Other apps like games, medical apps, utilites etc are your personal preference. Install based on your phone's internal memory.
         Recently i saw a movie Shoot them up in movies now. The last scene is having bullets in between fingers and the fire bursts them and the target is killed. Remember this somewhere? Newtonin 3am vithi movie. By S.J.Surya. Sorry boss, ipdia copy adipeenga?? Oru nyaya tharmam vendama??
        I am waiting to see when India can win a test abroad. Right now, We are staring at another whitewash. I hope the Big 3 retire soon.. Gradually. Rahul Dravid says he is working on how to avoid getting bowled out. But the fact is he is losing his concentration because of his age..The reflex time is less.. And the bowling is very good. Already the Senior players are saying to drop VVS for Rohit. I would also say the same. He is good, no doubt, but Rohit needs to play for future. And Virat too.. He needs to prove he can play abroad like he does in Bangalore pitch. Sachin, i dont think he will score his 100 anytime soon, coz the petrol prices haven't touched 100 yet.. Petrol or Sachin to reach their 100? I will go for Petrol. One point to note, VVS got out everytime either to keeper or the outswinger that takes his off stump. James Anderson and Stuart Broad did that. So is Hilfenhaus. VVS time is coming to an end. And Sehwag, ask him to be more responsible. So is Gauti. Well lets see the third test. It will be decided in the first innings itself.
